We are excited to announce big changes are happening with payment options for residents at Corvias Military Living. You now have online and mobile rent payment options. This will save you time in your day and allow you to pay your rent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the comfort of your own home. If you are already set up with an allotment of your BAH going towards your home each month, this will not apply to you. However, it may apply in the event you need to pay a prorated amount for rent upon move-in or when you move-out and wish to pay an outstanding balance. Click here for a summary of your options.
Corvias Foundation, a private, charitable foundation and the charitable arm of Corvias Group, has been committed to supporting military families in the pursuit of higher education since 2006. This year, Corvias Foundation has awarded 11 college scholarships of up to $50,000 to outstanding high school students, marking the 10th class of scholarship recipients. Two Fort Riley high school seniors were among this year’s scholars.
Samantha Gameros will graduate from Manhattan High School and is involved with National Honor Society, Medical Explorers, choir and has volunteered in her community. Gameros plans to pursue her interests in biochemistry and biology at Kansas State University. Her father is Sgt. 1st Class Santos Gameros of the United States Army Co 601st CAB 1st Infantry Division.
Benedikt Reynolds will graduate from Junction City High School and has participated in jazz band, photography, filmmaking, swimming and an internship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Reynolds plans to attend Brandeis University to study human factors psychology and industrial design. His father is Col. John Reynolds of the United States Army 1st Infantry Brigade.
Don’t forget to complete the Resident Satisfaction Survey. The HQDA RCI (Residential Communities Initiatives) is conducting the survey via e-mail until June 7th at all Corvias Military Living Army locations. This important survey will help ensure the continued success of the RCI program in meeting your needs and will help guide the Army and Corvias in the development of future improvements to our homes and services. We are excited to provide you more flexibility and convenience with the move out process. You are encouraged to attend our new move out information sessions. These sessions will answer your questions, provide you with information and a check list for the move out process. Contact your community office to find out the dates and times of the next move out information session. We wish we did not have to say bye, but we hope to see you there!
Looking for a fun and free activity to keep your teen entertained this summer? Corvias is hosting a free summer social just for teens! Have them stop by the Colyer Forsyth Community Center on Thursday, June 18th from 5:00-7:00pm for an evening of socializing with other community teens. Corvias will provide pizza and soda to snack on during the event and activities include a video game trailer, music, photo booth, and prizes! Be sure to mark your calendar and have your teen stop by for this fun event just for them!

The Directorate of Public Works will be holding numerous household hazardous waste collection days in June. Residents are encouraged to turn in hazardous household waste free of charge for proper disposal. Items such as cleaners, batteries, paints, pesticides and CFL light bulbs are classified as hazardous household waste. The collection times will be from 8-3 pm and the date for your community is listed on the calendar. For additional information please contact DPW at 785-239-6929.
Installation Yard of the Month Winner: Congratulations to the Diehl family in the Warner Peterson Community for winning May’s Post-Wide Yard of the Month. To nominate a yard for Yard of the Month, please contact your community office.
The Country Stampede country music series will be held June 25-28 at Tuttle Creek State Park and has donated tickets for on-post families. Tickets are good for free Sunday admission or can be upgraded to a four-day pass. The complimentary tickets are available for pick-up at your Community Office.
Upgrades for the full four days are $89 per ticket through Fort Riley’s Leisure Travel Center, Bldg. 6918 or by calling 785-239-5614.
Keep curtains and shades closed to help keep sunlight out. The sun can increase the temperature in a room by several degrees. Utilize ceiling or portable fans which can reduce energy use by about 25%. Fans can make the temperature seem 10 degrees cooler.
